FASHION: Store research

I went around town and into stores with a similar market position to that of this brand. I wanted to see what branding was applied to within the store so my outcomes would be appropriate.

The White Company

I liked there clothing tags and the little bio about the material it used. I also spotted the look guides on the hangers as well as plaques with photos of the collection of the item. These didn't have the branding directly applied to it but it maintained the over all image of the brand.

I then went round the stores and took images of the labels looking at how there attached, what stock they used and any processes.

Vivienne Westwood had a little box as well as the tag with the logo applied in a different way.

I like the use of stocks being textured or overlaid as well, it adds an extra era of quality than just a card tag.

Guccis stood out because of the embossed pattern as well as the gold block threading the label to the clothing.

Alexander Mcqueen has a metal label across the top of the clothing as well as a fabric one.

Moschino's was different mainly because of shape. The rest where long rectangles but theres was a square.

I noticed these acrylic information signs around Harvey Nichols which I thought is something I could produce for the shop either in way finding or plaques by clothing.

This was the Paul Smith gift card which was displayed on a wooden block engraved with there logo and a well made box which it comes.

As I went round the stores I collected as much printed material as I could. They didn't really have much which I didn't expect. I asked for anything branded that they might use or give out to customers. The majority had bags or compliment slips but no business cards except for Paul Smith.
