I decided to look for inspiration at other make up campaigns to see what kind of composition and hierarchy the adverts normally had as well as the kind of information and visuals they contained.
It's clear that they normally have a close up of the face and normally less of the body in the shot so I may try cropping my photos down so the focus is solely on there face.
This dior ad literally only has the logo at a very large scale. I want my advert to possibly contain some photography of the product or it's packaging.
This one contains imagery of the make up as well as a model. However they are overlapped between a white section and the photography, I think they would be lost purely on the photograph and it would appear busy so this is something I'd have to keep in mind.
I really like this idea of having two sides to the advert one with the photograph and one with the information and branding. I had put the branding over one of my initial edit images I was already struggling to see how the composition was going to work so this could be a really useful way of styling the ad.
This advert is landscape which is quite different from most of the other campaigns most likely because most adverts are used in magazines.
This one has all the information overlaid on the photograph. It doesn't get lost however because the image is quite dark around the edge whereas mine is the opposite.
