NEST: Focussing the Brief

I realised that the reason I had been struggling to pinpoint the identity of this brief was because the initial brief I had written was quite vague in terms of the brand. The main thing I had written was

'The company offers quality, well made goods and this is reflected in the price. Ensure the branding pushes this feel of quality and the campaign shows quality in the way it promotes and introduces itself to the audience.'

I wanted to expand upon this by searching for images that expressed the style of homeware they sell.

The main selling point of this store and its products is it's rustic raw materials such as wood, copper etc. This works well with the title of the store as nests are a naturally produced bed made up of similar materials. The furniture sold are alternative and quirky focusing on textures and materials with a rustic quality finish.

It's neutral tones and soft textured fabrics throughout going with the raw material style.

Now that I have a clearer understanding of the brands place in the market and taste I can establish a clear and appropriate brand identity.
