I really wanted to get good quality images of my projects as they've been pretty weak in the past and not shown the work to there best ability. Therefore I took the time to do a photoshoot and shot multiple briefs. I found it harder to photograph work then I did campaign shots etc. To get a nice looking shot of flat printed pieces was difficult so I decided to mainly focus more on the details of the designs rather than the whole piece.
I printed on a textured pulp stock to match the stores rustic and quirky style. This gave a nice grainy appearance to the photography.
Below I have the store invites to one of there exhibitions celebrating one of there designers. This fits with the 'merci to' concept I developed with the brand name as well as the events and exhibitions they hold already. I did all the printed material in both french and english as the store is in Paris but also sells to england. The invite has two kinds: a photographic front for in store hand outs to purchasing customers and a typographic front which comes with a map of the city of Paris in a trace envelope. I wanted to keep all the stocks to nice textures, quality and stylish. I included the paris map in the mailout invite as a little extra personal touch giving the customer a lovely illustrated poster. It also is to give the location of the store and be on brand as they state they wanted the store to bring all the different areas of design together in the heart of the city.
The stores location.
These instore handouts would be situated by the till and placed inside carrier bags just providing customers with a little information about the store and brand personality. This is a nice personal voice reaching out to the customer and engaging them with what the stores about.
