Now that the images were to a standard I was happy with I worked more on the branded side. I wanted to incorporate the brands tagline 'reveal your natural beauty' that focused on using products that enhance your natural beauty showing through your natural features and tones.
I did three different compositions but I feel that the text all centred worked best and therefore I altered the hierarchy of the information so that it read the product first, its functions and then the tagline and brand. I feel this was a better running order and made more sense in terms of a timeline of information for the advert.
I trailed it with the second campaign visuals and it worked just as well.
As I had three make up products I wanted to create the third product ad as well.
The mascara one was harder to do though due to black mascara not looking natural and when changing the tone it wasn't visible and the texture wasn't the same as clear mascara.
Unlike the others it wasn't as easy as to find an image and alter the colours as it was clear gel mascara that I needed. Therefore I had to manufacture it myself using photoshop.
I took an image of smeared liquid and of bubbles to create the illusion of smeared gel.
Using some editing tricks on photoshop I took the colour out of the bubbles and of the liquid. I then overlapped the bubbles multiple times to cover the smear.
To make it appear more as a substance I added a slight shadowing so it appeared 3D.
I then combined this with the rest of the layout like the other ads.
To expand the campaign posters I made larger landscape versions using 3 images giving the model some personality.
Again I kept it clean and simple, limiting it to three visuals and used the tagline and logo. These I think would be good as point as sale boards or large scale print adverts such as billboards. Due to the amount of white space I think they'd stand out amongst the rest of the market. I also think it really shows the fresh faced and youthful nature of the brand.
