Merci: Development

After redirecting this brief so it was more focussed and functional I started to develop my new designs.
I wanted the logo 'merci' to work as the concept and have phrases following. Therefore I attempted numerous ways of doing this. Ideally I wanted to use there serif typeface with there sans serif logo to in keep with there branding.
I was finding it hard to create a good balance between the two and for it to have a flow from the logo to the phrase. I felt the best way to achieve this was to place it underneath as when alongside each other  it didn't look right.

I then placed this over the photography for the one side of the postcard.

For the other side I took information about the store from the website and displayed there philosophy on the reverse side along side there address and website.

A french version:

I've done both english and french versions as they have customers who speak both languages.

For the invite I used the same layout to create a consistency across there printed promotional material.

I included information of the designer to encourage people to come to the exhibition.

I used photography of the work of the designer for the reverse side to give an idea of the theme of the exhibition to the customer.

I also considered using this design as an extension of the invite to try in enforce the concept of using the name of the store.
