Posh Nosh: Photo Edit

I didn't want there to be any other colours other than natural tones due to the focus needed to be on the yellow object. I realised that the spoon didn't stand out enough as the yellow object in the photo therefore I changed the red of the pot to the mustard yellow of Selfridges brand. This I felt worked a lot better.

At my placement I spoke to the senior designer who happened to use to work in food photography for Mcdonalds and Marks and Spencers. He gave me some tips on food photography as to how I could edit them to make them more rustic as I had wanted. He said normally there is a blur giving focus to the item of food that your trying to make appeal. Also that normally there from an angle slightly above so you can see the food. I had planned to have all my shots from the front which is how we did the majority of shots as to lay out the branding as planned therefore this caused slight dilemma. Hopefully once i've added the design this will lift the photograph to a more high end food photography.
