Monk: Development

I discussed the 'mmm' idea with Louise and she loved it.

From the crit I started searching for a typeface that would work for the 'mmm' concept. I initially had thought a serif typeface as she said her photography was traditional and classic however for the idea I didn't feel this would work as well because serif is difficult to read in capitals.

I narrowed it down to two typefaces and experimented with different weights and placement. I asked peoples opinions on the selection and the consensus was the top left.

 Using a marbling image offline I mocked up how the type could overlay the pattern.

However I found this a challenge and didn't feel it was working very well at all. I'm going to produce my own marbling first in order to work with the final image I will be using and then proceed to develop the type.
