FASHION: Campaign

Part of the brief was to create a campaign idea to promote the fashion company. Throughout my process of the branding I had considered this aspect. Once I had finalised on the imagery used across the branding I considered using this for the promotion campaign.

I played around with the imagery maintaining it the main focus of the promotion. I used the phrase 'It's Time' due to the concept of the store being that black fashion is timeless.

I don't feel that this really does much as a promotion campaign therefore I'm going to try do a strategy statement that i'd found in an advertising concept book.

FASHION: Final pieces

After the crit I reworked the designs and stocks to create the final items of branding. I kept a consistency of the square shape and the two stocks, laid off white and matt white for the photography. This was to make sure the branding was consistent across all the different formats.

I had a photoshoot with the products to get proper images of the final items for my boards.

GIFT: Packaging Development

These plastic wallets was what the different tags came in originally. I applied just the top half of the one with my information. I did like how this looked however I decided to try my original idea of having a whole trace wallet.

My original net was wrong as the tag would overlay with the front and would cover the product. I therefore altered the net to make the product at the front. I tried this with both colour tags and was much pleased with the result. It tied in much better with the overall range.

I added the ends to the wrapping paper to apply the function which would stop the end of the paper from getting ruined.

I also mock up the perforated edge which would make the packaging tearable for the paper roll.

Dr.Me: Final Piece

This is the final marble prints, printed on to A2 pieces of wood. We are really happy with the final turnout of this flag and think the limited colour scheme keeps interest but also unifies them as one while piece.

We now have got them varnished to keep the wood and paint protected and will be delivering them to Dr.Me for the exhibition.

GIFT: Concept Development

After the feedback from the crit I decided to play around with the icons and making the logo adaptable for the ranges. The way I had originally lay out the logo the asterisk was inline with how it is typed. However when I lay out the other icons this way it didn't work.
Therefore I altered the icons scaling them to the same size and height above the logo. This worked well for the majority of the icons but the exclamation mark.
To demonstrate how this would work I mocked up the New Home range using yellow as the colour scheme as it supposed to promote happy thoughts in the home.
The icon would be spread across the different products uniting them as a range for the particular occasion.

Dr.Me: Marbling

To begin with we decided to paper prints until we could understand the process and see how the colours would come out. We did some experimented and discovered how the inks worked with the water and each other. We could create either bright bold tones or pastel tones depending on how many prints we did of the same inks. We tried different techniques in moving the inks to create patterns.

From this we could see what inks we wanted to use colour wise. We really like the pastel tones that had been created on the second print after the majority of ink had been pulled away.

We transferred the vinyl to the wood sheets we had cut out. This was tricky because some of the vinyl didn't stick as well as others. Especially the yellow that was used to cut out the fish scales.

We did a sample of wood to see how the ink would come out. We decided that only bold colours would work on the wood as it didn't absorb it the same as paper. The pastels tone weren't as effected as it had been on paper.
Samples:

We started off picking 3-4 colours use one as the main base which spread out across the water and then used two others as strong colours to maintain bold on the print. Between printing the wood we took the excess ink off by making prints.

The prints from this came out really well:
